Andrea Jourdan – La Boutique Notre Dame

November 16, 2017 By Jittery Cook 6 Comments

Say you don’t feel like cooking but you also don’t want to eat out or order in. What are your options? You can try to get an invitation to dine with friends or family. Or you can hop on over to Andrea Jourdan – La Boutique Notre Dame and buy yourself a fancy pasta with a fancy sauce, then wash n’ toss some lettuce, drizzle on some fancy olive oil and vinegar and call it a night to remember.

The most happening street in Montreal seems to be Notre Dame. Go for a long stroll and check out all the exciting new businesses popping up. Andrea Jourdan – La Boutique Notre Dame is going to knock your socks off. It’s stark white and chock full of the fanciest gourmet food items I’ve ever seen. Stop in at the right time and you’ll be treated to samples. Show up Tuesday, November 22 between 5 and 9 p.m. and not only will you meet Andrea, you’ll be guaranteed samples. It’s a private – not really private – party for everyone!

Stand in the middle of the shop. Twirl around with your eyes shut. Careful not to knock down any displays. Buy whatever you happen to be pointing to when you stop. Heaven help you if it’s the $59 bottle of olive oil from Tuscany. (Truth be told, that’s number one on my wish list.) Seriously, there are so many dreamy products to chose from. The place is crammed full of conversation stoppers, or starters, take your pick. You need look no further for hostess or holiday gifts.

So, what did I stumble upon?

Tendriatell nature pasta

Crème d’artichaut thon pasta sauce or appetizer spread

Mont Rouge extra virgin olive oil, from South Africa

Olive oil from South America, a jar of artichoke tuna sauce and Tendriatell pasta in a box on orange tissue paper with white gift bags in the background.

And how was dinner? In a word, sublime.

Final note:

Now that you know what you’re doing next Wednesday evening, here’s a plan for next Thursday evening, November 23rd. The food lover in you is going to be oh so excited to attend this Cocktail Dinatoire, starting at 6:00 p.m. at Le Windsor. And you’ll be supporting a very good cause, fighting ovarian cancer. And you’ll be entertained by the Gail Simmons, “Top Chef” judge, in conversation with Lesley Chesterman. Check out the registration/invitation for a list of the fancy restaurants catering the event, Bringing It Home by Gloria’s Girls! Call Carolyn Baker now for tickets or to make a donation 514-340-8222 #26778. Hope to see you there!

So good, Jovina! They told me the sauce would coat the noodles perfectly and they were right. And the noodles, from France, were perfect. What a treat! Can’t wait for more samples next Tuesday.
