Nori Lox Goat Cheese – Hold the Bagel

September 9, 2016 By Jittery Cook 6 Comments

In 2 days Jittery Cook will be 5 years old with a whopping 413 healthy, delicious recipes for you to savour. There’s no grand plan, no hidden agenda, just the satisfaction of growing, learning and sharing with you. To celebrate this milestone, I’m hoping you’ll ask just one person to subscribe. It’s free and it’s fun and it’ll make me happier, even though I’m already pretty happy.

If I ate a bagel every time I craved a bagel, I’d have big regrets and an even bigger bagel belly. Nori Lox Goat Cheese will give you the satisfaction you’d get from eating bagel, lox and cream cheese crossed with sushi. That’s a huge helping of satisfaction.

Final notes:

  • I don’t own shares of Bologna Herbal Sea Salt, but I wish that I did. It’s a serious flavour enhancer blending sea salt rosemary, garlic, sage and black pepper. Bologna Herbal Sea Salt  also called Seasonello is sold at Les Douceurs du Marché at Atwater Market and at the Magasin Général in Val David.
  • You can serve this Nori Lox Goat Cheese for breakfast, lunch or as an appetizer.
  • While I buy spectacular lox at New Victoria Fish, Bagel’s on Greene is a great place for a ready- made bagel, lox and cream cheese and some good vegetarian Indian food.
  • Looking for another fabulous lox cream cheese combo? Check out Arthurs Nosh Bar where super thin toasted pumpernickel-type bread is the base for creamy cheese, fabulous lox and the tastiest pickled spicy red pepper morsels you ever did see.

Five years! Wow and congrats. Grew up with kohlrabi in our diet – sometimes was hard to find – nice and easy way to devour that! Thx!

Thanks for the good wishes. Crazy to look back on all those recipes. I’m ready to make each of them again!
This was my favourite way to eat kohlrabi so far. It marinates in the dressing and keeps well for several days.
